My name is Jesse van Doren. As an entrepreneur, I take people into an inspiring future on how technology impacts the way we live, work and do business. Together with my team, I do daily research on how technology is impacting our lives. Even though I am still young, I have years of experience of working with world-known brands such as Google, Netflix, BMW, among others. In recent years, I've worked for 350+ organisations in all kind of sectors.
I am not only a thinker who envisions the future, but also a doer. Having a passion for what I do, makes ‘hard work’ part of my DNA. As an entrepreneur, I'm in a constant hunger for making things better, imagining new ways to solve problems and create value with my companies: Brize, Hooked, Mayson and Hackathon Factory. Imagine yourself heading into uncharted territory; it rarely becomes obvious what steps to take next, forcing you to rely on yourself when you run into problems.
For me, age and location are irrelevant. In a self-created online and offline community, we connect thousands of young people from more than 20 different countries worldwide to help their countries move forward through entrepreneurship.
"If you connect different data and people with each other, beautiful things will arise” - Jesse van Doren
I see this happening all the time. For example, in 2015 we solved a local traffic problem for the province of Gelderland 'with the crowd' in 24 hours, where policy makers were writing plans for over 10 years. Besides the fact that we came up with a solution so quickly, our solution also saved millions of euros for the province of Gelderland.
Often I speak at events about how technology is changing the way we live, work and do business. Appealing to different age groups and industries, I always take my audience on a journey of a young and successful entrepreneur. I am sharing my personal stories, tips and habits that have helped me to get where I am today.
I'm enthusiastic about the future and always want to be at the center of the ‘technology boom’. When Google launched their first 'self-driving car' in the US, we did the first self-driving car commercial with insurance company Achmea. I shot the first fire arrow ever into the air via a voice command during New Year's Eve in 2018, brought the concept of a hackathon to the Netherlands and was among the first people who used the term 'Growth Hacking'. My goal is to make technology accessible for everyone and take things from a scientistic level to a broader audience. I want to make technology understandable for everyone, so that everybody can envision a better tomorrow. Because technology will impact the way we live, work and how we do business.
